This is Penny. Her beloved rabbit, Buttons, died last year, and poor Penny was heartbroken. She still misses Buttons terribly. Penny’s mum asked me to paint this portrait of them, so that Peny would always have something to remember Buttons and the special times they shared together, making daisy chains and just hanging out. I’m so pleased with how this portrait ended up. Penny, I know no painting can bring back Buttons, but I hope it brings you a little comfort anyway.
